PRODUCT OVERVIEW The AG-D9320 is TEAC's premium receiver, offering plenty of A/V ports with the latest digital formats in a cost effective package. Dolby Digital and DTS decoders are on-board. The built in amps will be powerful enough for small and medium rooms; a six channel direct line output is available for feeding larger amp systems. Six channel direct inputs are also available, for use with external surround decoders. Video ports are offered on S-Video, composite and component formats, with a convenient front panel input for portable cameras or other temporary sources. The AG-D9320 can select between two component video sources, such as a DVD player and a satellite receiver, and route either to the TV or video projector system. Of course, when dealing with audio systems, surround sounds better. Given the ever-increasing number of surround sound broadcasts, and the affordable digital cable and satellite systems delivering Dolby Digital signal to the masses, it is easy to offer the enveloping "you are there" experience. Sci-Fi and professional sports are the most common surround program material. To accommodate these, the AG-D9320 includes Dolby Digital, Pro Logic, and DTS decoders built in, providing support for the current major formats. Additionally, the dedicated six-channel direct input also allows future formats to be decoded externally and fed directly to the AG-D9320's amps and signal routing matrix. This is extremely important for DVD-Audio formats which are constantly changing, and even helps with direct routing of HDCD or SACD formats which require additional decoders or specific D/A converters. Given the ever-increasing number of camcorder formats, the front panel A/V input is wonderful for direct connection of portable systems. No more concerns about having Hi-8 players, VHS-C adapters, or having to crawl behind the TV for the connections. Just take signal from the camcorder directly in. Lecture Halls, Board Rooms, School A/V Racks The AG-D9320's interface is simple. Most anyone can route their A/V sources without fidgeting around. The AG-D9320 routes video and audio, and the included remote learns other functions, so only one remote will be necessary. Plus, the on-screen commands can be assigned to either the S-Video or composite output. So, you can set up your system with a control screen in the equipment rack. The audience won't be viewing the setting screens. This makes a more polished and professional impression.
