4 - Recording /LINE OUT jack. The monitoring sound volume can be adjusted using the +/- keys, but this has no effect on the recording. TIP In addition to using the Â/¯ keys to adjust the recording level, try changing the orientation of the microphone and its distance from the source of the sound. The orientation of the microphone and the distance also change the sound quality. 1 Press the REC key to start recording standby. The REC indicator blinks when in recording standby. NOTE If the REC LEVEL switch is set to LOW or HIGH, pressing the REC key once starts recording immediately without putting the unit into recording standby.
