Introduction Connecting your TV Using the Remote Control Using the AUTO ASPECT feature (480i signals only) When the AUTO ASPECT feature is set to ON and the TV receives a 480i signal, the picture size is automatically selected (as described in the following table). Aspect ratio of signal source Automatic aspect size (automatically selected when AUTO ASPECT is ON) 4:3 16:9 Not defined (no ID-1 data) Theater Wide 2 Full User-selected picture size (pgs. 30-31) If the signal does not include aspect information, the picture size you selected on pages 30-31 is displayed. To turn on the AUTO ASPECT feature: 1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the THEATER menu appears. 2. Fixed (non-moving) images (such as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray bars in wide-screen picture or PIP/POP formats) can become permanently engrained in the picture tube.
