Operating Basics Worldwide operation The Bluetooth radio transmitter and receiver operate in the 2.4 GHz band, which is license-free and compatible with radio systems in most countries in the world. Radio links You can easily establish links between two or more devices. The link is maintained even if the devices are not within line of sight. Security Two advanced security mechanisms ensure a high level of security: ■ Authentication prevents access to critical data and makes it impossible to falsify the origin of a message. ■ Encryption prevents eavesdropping and maintains link privacy. Bluetooth™ Stack for Windows® by TOSHIBA Please note that this software is specifically designed for the following operating systems: ■ Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Detailed information regarding the use with these operating systems is listed below. Please refer also to the electronic information which is included with each software. This Bluetooth™ Stack is based on Bluetooth™ Version 1.1/1.2/2.0+EDR specification. TOSHIBA cannot confirm compatibility between any PC products and/or other electronic devices that use Bluetooth™ other than TOSHIBA mobile PCs. Fax application software: Regarding FAX application software, there are some software that you cannot use on this Bluetooth™ Stack. 2. Multi User: On Windows Vista™, the use of Bluetooth is not supported in a multiuser environment. This means that, when you use Bluetooth, other users logged onto the same computer will not be able to use its Bluetooth functionality.
