22 Getting Started Connect wirelessly to a PC/Mac ❖ Connect to the Internet while connected to the Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter 4 To power off the Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter, unplug the AC adapter from the power supply. (Sample Illustration) Unplugging the Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter Connect wirelessly to a PC/Mac 1 Press the ON/OFF button to power on the system. 2 Once the Wi-Fi® indicator light stops blinking, enable the Wireless LAN feature on your PC/Mac and open the Wireless Network connection. 3 Select the Toshiba wssd xxxx wireless connection (where xxxx is a 4-digit number generated by your Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter (default wireless SSID: Toshiba wadpxxxx), and then enter a password if one has been established. File copy wirelessly to PC You can wirelessly transfer files from the storage device attached to the Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter to a PC once the drive has been mapped. 1 To map the drive, on your PC, go to Computer, and then Map Network Drive. 2 Select a letter from the Drive drop down menu. 3 In the Folder field, type \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\share (where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is your Canvio Cast™ Wireless Adapter's IP address) and click Finish.
