277 Using the RAID-0 or RAID-1 Utility Toshiba RAID Console Utility RAID-1 When RAID-1 (mirroring) is configured, a single array icon and two physical drive icons are shown to represent the array and the physical drives associated with the array. The equal sign indicates that the data is mirrored (copied) from the internal hard disk to the secondary internal hard disk. (Sample Image) Toshiba RAID Console Utility with RAID-1 configured Defining options for RAID-0 or RAID-1 The Options window allows you to define options for media checking, rebuilding an array, and notification of RAID errors. It also allows you to enable or disable a write cache, MBR protection, and S.M.A.R.T. For more information on write cache, see page 278. For more information on MBR protection, see page 279. For more information on S.M.A.R.T., see page 280. To define options for RAID: 1 Start the Toshiba RAID Console utility by clicking Start, All Programs. Then select Toshiba, RAID, RAID Console.
