116 Learning the Basics Using the optical disc drive Media control buttons (Available on certain models.) The media control buttons located on the system control panel above the keyboard let you mute the sound and play audio CDs or DVD movies when the computer is on. 3D ON/OFF button* Illumination ON/OFF button* Wireless antenna ON/OFF button Play/pause button Mute button Volume control buttons *Available on certain models (Sample Illustration) Media control buttons The Wireless antenna ON/OFF button allows you to enable/disable the computer's Wi-Fi® antenna. The 3D ON/OFF button allows you to enable/disable the Web Camera's 3D capability. The Illumination ON/OFF button allows you to set the panel LED and keyboard backlight conditions. The Play/pause button allows you to start playing the disc, or pause it if currently playing. The Mute button allows you to mute the sound. The Volume control buttons allow you to increase/decrease the volume of the sound coming from the computer. Inserting an optical disc To insert an optical disc into the drive: 1 Make sure the computer is turned on. The drive will not open if the computer's power is off.
