Caller ID problems Caller ID displays, but I can't hear the CID announcements. Possible solutions xxMaking sure TTS (Text-To-Speech) is turned on. xxIncreasing the ringer volume so the CID announcements are louder. To get a line filter, contact your service provider or look in an electronics store. Plug the filter into the telephone wall jack and plug the base into the filter.
