VIZIO VF550M User Manual Digital Audio Out This option allows selection of the type of processing for the SPDIF (Optical connector) when used with a Receiver/Amplifier/Home Theater system. Select to choose from OFF, Dolby Digital or PCM. Note: With DTV input, the optical port will deliver 5.1 surround sound when broadcast. It will not deliver 5.1 surround with any other input selected. Speakers Turns the internal speakers On or Off. You may want to turn the internal speakers off when listening to the audio through your Home Theater System. Analog Audio Out This option sets the volume control properties when using the RCA (white and red) connectors as audio line out to connect a Receiver/Amplifier/Home Theater system. Choose from Fixed or Variable. When set to Variable, volume from the external speakers will change according to the volume setting on the TV. If it is set to Fixed, the volume can only be changed by the settings on the external stereo system. Lip Sync Lip Sync is designed to adjust the audio of the program being viewed so that it matches the movement of the lips of someone talking on the screen. Reset Audio Mode Return all Audio settings to factory default. A screen will come up to confirm your selection or to cancel it. Press either $ or # to make the selection, and then press MENU to accept it. Note: Only settings under the Audio menu will be reset. Version 3/4/2009 37 www.VIZIO.com
