8. The Console (16) requires two AA batteries (not included); alkaline batteries are recommended. Remove the battery cover from the back of the Console. Insert two batteries into the Console as shown. Make sure that the batteries are oriented as shown by the markings inside of the Console. Replace the battery cover. 8 Battery Cover Batteries 16 9. Have another person hold the Console (16) near the Upright (13). Identify the Speed Wire (69), which is thinner than the Pulse Wire (34). Plug the Speed Wire into the wire attached to the Console. Next, plug the Pulse Wire into the jack on the back of the Console. Insert the excess wire down into the Upright. Attach the Console (16) to the Upright (13) with the two Console Screws (27) included with the Console. Be careful to avoid pinching the wires. Insert the cable on the Resistance Knob Assembly (19) down into the large slot in the Upright (13). Next, insert the indicated tab into the small slot in the Upright, and attach the Resistance Knob Assembly to the Upright with an M4 x 16mm Screw (49). 10. While another person holds the Upright (13) in the position shown, connect the Speed Wire (69) to the Reed Switch Wire (43). Next, connect the console cable to the Lower Cable (45) in the following way: • See drawing A. Pull up on the metal bracket on the Lower Cable (45), and insert the tip of the console cable (CC) into the wire clip inside of the metal bracket as shown. • See drawing B. Firmly pull up the console cable (CC) and slide it into the top of the metal bracket as shown. • See drawing C. Using pliers, squeeze the prongs on the upper end of the metal bracket together. Push the excess wire and cable down into the Frame (1), and slide the Upright (13) onto the Frame. Be careful to avoid pinching the wires and cables. Have another person hold the Console (16) near the
Upright (13). Identify the Speed Wire (69), which is

position shown, connect the Speed Wire (69) to the

• See drawing A. Pull up on the metal bracket on the
Lower Cable (45), and insert the tip of the console
cable (CC) into the wire clip inside of the metal

• See drawing B. Firmly pull up the console cable (CC)
and slide it into the top of the metal bracket as
shown.
• See drawing C. Using pliers, squeeze the prongs on
the upper end of the metal bracket together.
Push the excess wire and cable down into the Frame
(1), and slide the Upright (13) onto the Frame.
Be care-
ful to avoid pinching the wires and cables.
Attach
the Upright to the Frame with two M8 x 48mm Button
Bolts (59), two M8 Split Washers (42), and two M8
Nylon Locknuts (10).
