MY BOOK WORLD EDITION USER MANUAL LED Indicators (Lights) The Power/Activity and Capacity Gauge indicators are represented by a single bar of six LEDs (lights) on the front panel of the drive. Power/Activity LED Behavior Power On Sequence Appearance Bottom LED dimmed LEDs light up in sequence from bottom to top Drive State Powering up Transitioning to drive ready Normal Operation Appearance Capacity Gauge, steady illumination (see below) Moving up and down Slow flashing (every four seconds) Drive State Power-on state, ready for use Drive in use System standby Capacity Gauge When the device is turned on, the Capacity Gauge indicates space used on the drive by fully illuminating six sections in an upward vertical direction. Each section represents approximately 17 percent of drive capacity. Because this drive is preformatted, the first section is illuminated upon installation. Power Down Sequence Appearance Dimming up/dimming down in an odd/even alternating pattern Drive State Drive powering down Device Events Appearance Bottom LED dimmed, top LED flashing Fast flashing (every half second) Continuous "center out" sweep pattern Drive State Boot unsuccessful My Book system event, action required (see "System Events" on page 177) Unit failure OVERVIEW - 10
