CYCLE GUIDE Settings and options shown in bold are default settings for that cycle. For best fabric care, choose the cycle that best fits the load being washed. If using the Eco Monitor, adjust the temperature and spin speed within that cycle to improve energy usage. Not all cycles and options are available on all models. Cottons and linens exposed to possible allergens Allergen Hot High Heavy Deep Clean This cycle uses more water to flush Medium Normal Extra Rinse out allergens, such as dust mites or pet Low No Spin Medium Fabric Softener dander, from normally soiled garments. Light Oxi This cycle removes more than 95% of allergens. Heavily soiled, Sanitary Hot High Heavy Deep Clean Use this cycle to eliminate 99.9% of colorfast fabrics with Oxi & Medium Normal Extra Rinse bacteria when used in conjunction with Steam† Low No Spin Medium Fabric Softener the Deep Clean with Heater option. Light Oxi Preset cycle setting must be used to achieve the proper sanitization. Be sure to add an Oxi product to the Liquid Chlorine Bleach dispenser. No clothes in washer Clean Washer with affresh® EcoBoost™ Use this cycle every 30 washes to keep the inside of your washer fresh and clean. This cycle uses a higher water level. Use with affresh® Washer Cleaner tablet or liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washer. This cycle should not be interrupted. See "Washer Care." IMPORTANT: Do not place garments or other items in the washer during the Clean Washer with affresh® cycle. Use this cycle with an empty wash tub. Heavily soiled fabrics Deep Water Soak Warm Cool Cold Eco Cold No Spin Heavy Normal Medium Light EcoBoost™ Adjustable soak time to loosen heavy soils. At the end of the cycle, the washer will drain but not spin, and a tone will sound. To set a follow-up cycle, add additional detergent and select a cycle based on fabric type. Swimsuits, items that need rinsing only Rinse/ Drain & Spin High Medium Low No Spin EcoBoost™ This cycle uses a high-speed spin. For Fabric Softener some fabrics, you may wish to set the spin speed to a lower setting. Wet load of clothes Rinse/ Drain & Spin High Medium Low To select, choose Rinse/Drain & Spin and turn off Extra Rinse. Use this cycle to spin excess water out of a load. This cycle drains the water and spins at a high speed. Spin speed is adjustable. * Wash temperatures vary according to the chosen cycle setting. All cycle settings use a cold rinse temperature. Model: WTW8900B** † Sanitary with Oxi & Steam Sanitary with Oxi & Steam cycle certified by NSF International, an independent, third party testing and certification organization. The certification verified that the cycle reduced 99.9% of bacteria typically found in clothing, bedding, and towels. There is no carry over of bacteria between loads after the cycle is complete. Only the Sanitary with Oxi cycle has been designed to meet the requirements of NSF Protocol P172 for Sanitizing Effectiveness. 7
