PORTABLE GRAND This convenient function lets you automatically exit from any other mode or function and instantly call up the Grand Piano voice. PLAYING THE PORTABLE GRAND Press the PORTABLE GRAND button. METRONOME Doing this automatically cancels any other mode or function, and resets the entire instrument for playing the special "Stereo Sampled Piano" Grand Piano voice (voice 001). It automatically selects the Voice mode (with the Style mode active), and calls up style #91 (Rock Ballad). It also resets the footswitch to Sustain operation. The Portable Grand setting is designed also for playing with the special Pianist styles (#91 - #100). When auto accompaniment is turned on, these provide piano-only accompaniment in a variety of music styles. (See page 52.) USING THE METRONOME 1 Set the desired tempo with the Tempo function in the Overall menu. Press one of the OVERALL v/w buttons, repeatedly if necessary, until "Tempo" appears in the display.
