Chapter 21 IPSec Finding Out More See Section 21.4 on page 256 for advanced technical information on IPSec VPN. 21.2 The IPSec Status Screen Click Security Settings > IPSec > Status to open the screen as shown. Use this screen to display and manage active VPN connections. A Security Association (SA) is the group of security settings related to a specific VPN tunnel. This screen displays active VPN connections. Use Refresh to display active VPN connections. This screen is read-only. The following table describes the fields in this tab. Table 85 Security Settings > IPSec > Status LABEL DESCRIPTION Refresh Interval Select how often the screen should be refreshed from the drop-down list box. Status This field displays whether the VPN connection is up (a yellow bulb) or down (a gray bulb). Connection Name This field displays the identification name for this VPN policy. Remote Gateway This is the static WAN IP address or URL of the remote IPSec router. Local Addresses This is the IP address of computer(s) on your local network behind your ZyXEL Device. Remote Addresses This is the IP address of computer(s) on the remote network behind the remote IPSec router. Action Click Trigger to establish a VPN connection with the remote network.
