If you do lock yourself out, you will have to reset the Switch. 3.6 Resetting the Switch If you lock yourself (and others) from the Switch or forget the administrator password, you will need to reset the Switch back to the factory defaults. " When you reset the Switch, all user-configured data is lost. To reset the Switch, press the RESET button on the rear of the Switch for three to five seconds, then release it. The Switch restarts. All information is reset to defaults, including the IP address (192.168.1.1), the username (admin) and the password (1234). 3.7 Logging Out of the Web Configurator Click Logout in a screen to exit the web configurator. You have to log in with your password again after you log out. This is recommended after you finish a management session for security reasons.
