Battery l.,,,acernent Under normal use, batteries in your keychain the transmitter should last about two years. 1. If your transmitter hasa screw, remove the screw from the back cover.If there is no screw, carefully pry off the coverby inserting a dime (or similar object) in the slot between the covers and twisting. You can tell the batteries are weak if the transmitter won't workat the normalrange in any location. If you have to get close to yourvehicle before the transmitter works, it's probably time to change the batteries. For battery replacement, use two Duracella batteries, type DL-2016, or a similar type. To replace the batteries: 2. Lift off the front cover, bottom halffirst. 3. Remove and replace the batteries. Put themin as indicated by the directions underthe batteries. 4. Replace thefront cover. Make sure the coveris on tightly, so water won't getin. Replace the screw in the back cover,if there is one. If there is no screw, snap together. 5. Check theoperation of the transmitter. 2-7
