The remote trunk release lockout button allows you to secure items in the trunk. To unlock the trunk from the outside, insert the master doorhgnition key and turn it. '7 ,@~~~o.e -. \ . ,;,Jp;qk g&5g2qe w. . L . Press the TRUNK release beztton located to the left of the steering column to release the trunk lid. Insert the ignition key into the tmnk release button. Turn the key one-quarter of a turn to the right then remove it from the button. The tmnk wikf open if the transaxleis in BARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N) and the trunk release lockout is in the unlocked position. The remote keyless entry system will also unlock your trunk if the ignition is off, or if the ignition is on and the transaxle is in PARK (FD). This will disable the tmnk release button from opening the tmnk.
