This light comes on briefly while starting the engine. If it does not, have the vehicle serviced by your dealer/retailer. If the system is working normally the indicator light then goes off. If the light comes on and stays on, it means that oil is not flowing through the engine properly. The vehicle could be low on oil and it might have some other system problem. Security Light For information regarding this light and the vehicle's security system, see Content Theft-Deterrent on page 2-17. Change Engine Oil Light If this light comes on, it means that service is required for your vehicle. Cruise Control Light The cruise control light comes on whenever the cruise control is set. See Scheduled Maintenance on page 6-4 and Engine Oil on page 5-15 for more information. After having the oil changed you will need to reset the light. See Engine Oil on page 5-15 for more information. If this light is blinking, a chime will sound indicating low engine oil. The light goes out when the cruise control is turned off. See Cruise Control on page 3-10 for more information. 3-43
