Instruments and Controls If You Cannot See the HUD Image When the Ignition Is On . 5-33 Vehicle Messages Messages displayed on the DIC indicate the status of the vehicle or some action that may be needed to correct a condition. Multiple messages may display one after the other. The messages that do not require immediate action can be acknowledged and cleared by pressing SET/CLR. The messages that require immediate action cannot be cleared until that action is performed. All messages should be taken seriously and clearing the messages does not correct the problem. Is anything covering the HUD lens? Is the HUD dimmer setting bright enough? Is the HUD image adjusted to the proper height? Are you wearing polarized sunglasses? Still no HUD image? Check the fuse in the instrument panel fuse block. See Instrument Panel Fuse Block on page 10‑40. Is the HUD image too bright? Are the windshield and HUD lens clean? . . features of the vehicle that you may be able to notice. At the point that features are disabled, this message is displayed. It means that the vehicle is trying to save the charge in the battery. Turn off unnecessary accessories to allow the battery to recharge. LOW BATTERY This message is displayed when the battery voltage is low. See Battery on page 10‑25 for more information. . . SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM This message is displayed when there is a fault in the battery charging system. Take the vehicle to your dealer for service. If the HUD Image Is Not Clear . . Battery Voltage and Charging Messages BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE This message displays when the vehicle has detected that the battery voltage is dropping beyond a reasonable point. The battery saver system starts reducing certain If the HUD image is not correct, contact your dealer. Keep in mind that the windshield is part of the HUD system. Brake System Messages BRAKE FLUID LOW This message is displayed when the brake fluid level is low. See Brake Fluid on page 10‑23.
