Comfort Controls Air Conditioning with Electronic Controls Fan Knob The right knob with the fan symbol regulates the amount of air flowing through the vehicle. To turn the fan off, turn the knob to "O." Temperature Control The center knob changes the temperature of the air flowing through the system. Turn this knob clockwise (toward red) for warmer air. Turn it counterclockwise (toward blue) for cooler air. Mode Knob The left knob has several settings to control the direction of airflow. For each setting, set the temperature to a comfortable setting. MAX: This setting recirculates much of the air inside your vehicle and sends it through the instrument panel outlets. The air conditioning compressor will run automatically in this setting unless the outside temperature is below 40_F (4.5_C). (Even when the compressor is running, you can control the temperature.) With these controls, you can control the heating, cooling and ventilation in your vehicle. The controls work best if you keep your windows closed while using them. 3-2
