To adjust it, keep lever (1) fully extended, and turn knob (2), turning it in correspondence of one of the four foreseen positions. Keep in mind that the position no. 1 corresponds to the maximum distance between the lever and the knob, whereas position no. 4 corresponds to the minimum distance. When the clutch lever (1) is operated, drive from the engine to the gearbox and the rear wheel is disengaged. Correct use of the clutch lever is very important in all riding situations, especially when moving off. Clutch lever
(fig. 36)
Lever (1) disengages the clutch. It features a dial adjuster (2)
for lever distance from the twistgrip on semihandlebar. To
adjust it, keep lever (1) fully extended, and turn knob (2),
turning it in correspondence of one of the four foreseen
positions.
Keep in mind that the position no. 1 corresponds to the
maximum distance between the lever and the knob,
whereas position no. 4 corresponds to the minimum
distance.
When the clutch lever (1) is operated, drive from the engine
to the gearbox and the rear wheel is disengaged. Correct use
of the clutch lever is very important in all riding situations,
especially when moving off.
Important
Using the clutch properly will prolong the life of the
engine and prevent any damage to components in the
transmission.
Note
It is possible to start the engine with the side stand
down and the gearbox in neutral. When starting the bike with
a gear engaged, pull the clutch lever (in this case the side
stand must be up).
