Normal Schedule NOTE: Items for Emission Control Service are shown in this type and style. For items marked with number in parentheses such as (1), see footnote at end of this section. Rear axles filled with non-synthetic rear axle lubricant must be changed every 100,000 miles (160,000 km), otherwise, the lubricant is not to be checked or changed unless a leak is suspected, service required or the axle assembly submerged in water. Regular Maintenance Intervals for the Normal Schedule 5,000 MILES (8,000 Kilometers) u Change engine oil and replace oil filter. u Rotate tires and adjust air pressure. (1) u Check clutch reservoir fluid level. u Inspect and lubricate automatic transmission shift linkage. u Lubricate steering linkage suspension, driveshaft U-joint if equipped with grease fittings and lubricate slip yoke (if equipped).
