Seating and Safety Restraints To recall a memory position: • Press and release either memory 1 button or memory 2 button. A position can be recalled: • in any gearshift position if the ignition is not in the on position. • only in P (Park) or N (Neutral) if the ignition is in the on position. A memory seat position may be programmed at any time. The memory positions are also recalled when you press your remote (unlock) control (if the transmitter is programmed entry transmitter to a memory position) or, when you enter a valid personal entry code that is programmed to a memory position. To program the memory feature to a remote entry transmitter and for more information on how to use the keypad, refer to Remote entry system in the Locks and Security chapter. REAR SEATS Adjustable head restraints (if equipped) The purpose of these head restraints is to help limit head motion in the event of a rear collision. To properly adjust your head restraints, lift the head restraint so that it is located directly behind your head or as close to that position as possible. The head restraints can be moved up and down.
