Vehicle Identification Number (VIA/) This is the legal identifierfor your vehicle. It appears on a plate in thefront comer of the instrument panel, on the driver's side. You can see it if you look through the windshieldfrom outside your vehicle. The VIN also appears on the VehicleCertification and Service Parts labels and the certificates of title and registration. Engine ldentification The eighth character in your VIN is the engine code. This codewill help you identify your engine, specifications, and replacement parts.
