GENERAL INFORMATION 39 żThe NOTE Side Covers The left and right side covers are removed taking out the tool kit, and inspecting the fuses. Right Side Cover Removal Insert the ignition key into the lock, and turn the ignition key clockwise. Pull out only at the rear of the right side cover to disengage the rear projection and grommet. Slide the cover forward until it stops and clear the hook, then pull out on the front of the right side cover to disengage both front projection and grommet. Pull the right side cover away from the chassis while continuing to keep it forward. motorcycle is equipped with a side stand switch. This switch is designed so that the engine does not start if the transmission is in gear and the side stand is down.

The motorcycle is equipped with a
side stand switch. This switch is de-
signed so that the engine does not
start if the transmission is in gear and
the side stand is down.
Side Covers
The left and right side covers are re-
moved taking out the tool kit, and in-
specting the fuses.
Right Side Cover Removal -
Insert the ignition key into the lock,
and turn the ignition key clockwise.
Pull out only at the rear of the right
side cover to disengage the rear pro-
jection and grommet.
Slide the cover forward until it stops
and clear the hook, then pull out on
the front of the right side cover to
disengage both front projection and
grommet.
Pull the right side cover away from
the chassis while continuing to keep
it forward.
