28 GENERAL INFORMATION j GENERAL INFORMATION Indicator Lights The indicator lights are mounted at the middle of the handlebars. Reverse: When the transmission is in reverse gear, the reverse indicator light is lit. Oil Pressure Indicator: The pressure indicator goes on to warn the operator whenever the oil is empty or dangerously low. The indicator also goes on when the ignition key is in the "ON" position with the engine not running, however the indicator goes off when the engine is started with adequate oil quantity and normal temperature. Refer to the MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter for more detailed engine oil information. Coolant Temperature Warning Light: The coolant temperature warning light goes on whenever the coolant temperature rises to 115°C (239°F) or higher while the vehicle is in operation. GENERAL INFORMATION
Indicator Lights
The indicator lights are mounted at the middle of
the handlebars.
1. Belt Check Indicator Light
2. Oil Pressure Warning Light
3. Coolant Temperature Warning Light
4. Neutral Indicator Light
5. Fuel Warning Light
6. Reverse Indicator Light
Neutral:
When the transmission is in neutral, the neutral
indicator light is lit.
Reverse:
When the transmission is in reverse gear, the re-
verse indicator light is lit.
Oil Pressure Indicator:
The pressure indicator goes on to warn the oper-
ator whenever the oil is empty or dangerously low.
The indicator also goes on when the ignition key
is in the “ON” position with the engine not running,
however the indicator goes off when the engine is
started with adequate oil quantity and normal tem-
perature.

JUSTMENT chapter for more detailed engine oil in-
formation.
