OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 79 WARNING Jet Ski watercraft requires throttle (thrust) to steer and help you to avoid objects - you have no directional control when the engine is stopped. If the throttle fails, do not operate the watercraft until the source of the problem is found and corrected. j WARNING After riding, remove the engine shut-off lanyard key from watercraft to avoid unauthorized use by children or others. A. Engine Stop Button B. Lanyard Key NOTICE A discharged battery will not provide power to start the engine. To prevent the battery from discharging, always turn the ignition switch "OFF" after stopping the engine. If the engine must be stopped immediately in an emergency, push the "RED" engine stop button or pull the engine shut-off lanyard key off the stop button. If the engine must be stopped immediately in an
emergency, push the “RED" engine stop button or
pull the engine shut-off lanyard key off the stop but-
ton.
Some possible “EMERGENCY" situations are:
The engine speeds out of control.
The throttle lever does not release completely.
