MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 55 Friction and Steel Plate Installation • • Install all parts in the reverse order of removal. Install the friction plates and steel plates, alternating between the two; be sure to start and finish with a friction plate. the clutch hub, springs and clutch spring • Install holder. • Tighten the clutch hub bolt and clutch spring bolts. Clutch Hub Nut Tightening Torque 64 N·m (6.5 kgf·m, 47 ft·lb) Clutch Spring Bolt Tightening Torque 9.3 N·m (0.95 kgf·m, 82 in·lb) molybdenum disulfide grease to the clutch • Apply spring plate pusher. the clutch pusher and clutch spring plate • Install pusher. the CDI stator cover and gasket. • Install Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to the water • pump shaft to prevent water pump seal damage. j NOTICE A. Friction and Steel Plates NOTICE If dry steel plates and friction plates are installed, apply transmission oil to the surfaces of each plate to avoid clutch plate seizure. If the right engine cover is installed without greasing the water pump shaft, the pump seal could be damaged.
