GENERAL INFORMATION 49 NOTICE Do not shift from "H" (High), "L" (Low) to "R" (Reverse) and vice versa when the vehicle is moving or with the engine running above idling speed, or the transmission could be damaged. This vehicle is equipped with a sub-transmission to allow maximum transmission efficiency. Use the low gearing for maximum torque at low speeds, for climbing hills, pulling a trailer, or keeping constant low speeds for agricultural use. The high gearing raises the speed range for ordinary off-highway use. Stop the vehicle before moving the shift lever. j Selectable 2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK Shift Switch This vehicle is equipped with a dual-mode differential for the front wheels, and you can select "2WD," "4WD," or "DIFF-LOCK" to suit various driving conditions. The selectable 2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK shift switch is located on the dashboard.
