INTERIOR EQUIPMENT GLOVEBOX GARAGE DOOR OPENER The garage door opener is manufactured under license from HomeLinkR and can be programmed to operate garage doors, estate gates, security lighting, etc. (a) Programming the garage door opener 14R044 14R057 " 1 Unlock 2 Open 3 Lock To open the glovebox door, pull the lever. To lock the glovebox door, insert the master key and turn it clockwise. With the tail lights on, the glovebox light will come on when the glovebox door is open. For the CD automatic changer, see page 154. The garage door opener has 3 buttons and can be programmed to operate 3 separate devices. 1. Decide which one of the 3 buttons you want to program. Push and hold down the button until the indicator light begins to flash. While holding this button, follow steps "2" and "3". 2. Bring the hand held garage door opener within about 25 mm (1 in.) of the button being programmed and push the button on the hand held garage door opener. The signal from the hand held garage door opener is sent to the vehicle's opener. CAUTION To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or a sudden stop, always keep the glovebox door closed while driving. 55
