5-2. Steps to take in an emergency Warning light (U.S.A.) Warning light/Details ABS warning light Indicates a malfunction in: • The ABS; or (Canada) • The brake assist system. Electric power steering warning light Indicates a malfunction in the EPS (Electric Power Steering) system. Pre-collision system warning light (if equipped) Indicates a malfunction in the pre-collision system. n Electric power steering warning light When the battery is low or when the voltage drops temporarily, the electric power steering warning light may come on. CAUTION n When the electric power steering warning light comes on The steering wheel may become extremely heavy. If the steering wheel becomes heavier than usual when operating, firmly hold and operate it using more force than usual. 352
