Topic 3 When Driving "DAC" Switch The Downhill Assist Control system helps to control vehicle speed when driving down steep slopes. l Shift the four-wheel drive control lever to the "L" position. l Push the "DAC" switch to turn the system on. l If traveling at 15 mph (25 km/h) or less, release the accelerator or brake pedal to activate the system. To make full use of the engine brake, putting the transmission in "L" or "2" is recommended. Push the "DAC" switch again to turn the system off. 29

Shift the four-wheel drive control lever to the
°L± position.

Push the °DAC± switch to turn the system on.
l
If traveling at 15 mph (25 km/h) or less,
release the accelerator or brake pedal to acti-
vate the system.
To make full use of the engine brake, putting the
transmission in °L± or °2± is recommended.
