Theft Deterrent System This system is designed to help protect your vehicle from theft. n Engine immobilizer This system only allows the engine to start if a registered key is used. This deters theft caused by the use of unauthorized keys. n Alarm Forcibly unlocking the doors, trunk, or hood without the key or wireless remote control causes the horn to blow and the exterior lights to flash, alerting those in the surrounding area. n Steering lock The steering wheel is locked when the engine switch is turned off. If the security indicator light is flashing when you leave the vehicle, the engine immobilizer and alarm are set. To stop the alarm, unlock the doors or trunk with the key or wireless remote control, or turn the engine switch to the ON position. 7
