If the hybrid battery becomes fully discharged and the vehicle will not start even with a jump-start to the 12-volt battery, contact your Lexus dealership. Any repairs to the hybrid battery or hybrid system should be performed by a qualified technician following procedures in Lexus service and repair publications. Please refer to the important safety precautions found on the inside front cover of this booklet. Body Inspection Visually check for corrosion, scratches and other damage. Check outer body panels, inner panels of the hood and doors, and underneath the vehicle. Apply touch-up paint to any chips and scratches or have them repaired by a qualified technician. Brake Fluid Replace using fluid type specified in your Owner's Manual. A qualified technician should perform this operation. Brake Lines and Hoses Visually inspect for proper installation. Check for chafing, cracks, deterioration and signs of leakage. Replace any deteriorated or damaged parts. A qualified technician should perform these operations. Brake Pads, Calipers and Rotors Check brake pads and rotors for excessive wear; check brake rotors for runout. Check brake calipers for fluid leakage. A qualified technician should perform these inspections. Differential Oil Inspect each differential component for signs of leakage. If you discover any leakage, have it repaired immediately by a qualified technician. Refer to your Owner's Manual for fluid specifications. Drive Belt Inspect for cracks, excessive wear and oiliness.
