MKT LINCOLN CLIMATE CONTROL Power/Driver Temperature - Press to turn on/off. Turn to increase/decrease the temperature on the driver side of the vehicle (when the passenger temperature control is active) or for the entire vehicle cabin (when the passenger temperature control is not active). Heated and Cooled Driver/Passenger Seats - Push once to activate high heat/cool (three indicator lights), press twice for medium heat/cool (two indicator lights), press three times for low heat/cool (one indicator light) and press again to deactivate. Passenger Temperature - Press to activate the passenger side climate control (dual zone). Turn the control to increase/decrease temperature on the passenger side. Press again to turn off and return to single zone where the driver side temperature control determines the temperature for the entire vehicle. AUTO - Press to activate automatic temperature control. The system will automatically determine fan speed, airflow location, A/C (on or off) and outside or recirculated air, to heat or cool the vehicle to reach the desired temperature. Press again to deactivate. Fan Speed - Press + to increase or - to decrease fan speed. : Distributes outside air through the windshield defroster and demister vents. Can be used to clear thin ice or fog from the windshield. : Using recirculated air may reduce the amount of time needed to cool down the interior of the vehicle and may also help reduce undesirable odors from reaching the interior of the vehicle. : Press to activate and clear the rear window and side heated mirrors of thin ice and fog. Press again to deactivate. Second Row Heated and Cooled Seats (if equipped) - These controls are located on the rear of the floor console. Press once to activate high heat/ cool (three indicator lights), twice for medium heat/cool (two indicator lights) and three times for low heat/cool (one indicator light). Press again to turn off. KEYLESS ENTRY Intelligent Access (IA) Key Intelligent Access keys allow you to unlock the vehicle door(s) or liftgate and start the car without using a key (provided your Intelligent Access key is within approximately three feet). To unlock the driver's door: Simply have the intelligent key within range (in your pocket or purse, for example) and press any button on the keyless entry keypad. To unlock the liftgate: Have the intelligent key within range and press the exterior trunk release button located just above the license plate. To start the car: Have the intelligent key within range, press the brake pedal and press the ENGINE START button next to the steering wheel. ecuricode™ S keyless entry system Allows you to lock or unlock the doors as well as open the liftgate without a key. Ensure that you have your five digit factory code located on your owner's wallet card in the glove box. To unlock the driver's door: Enter your five digit factory code. To unlock all doors: Enter your five digit factory code and, within five seconds, press 3-4. To lock all vehicle doors: Press and hold 7-8 and 9-0 at the same time for two seconds (you do not need to enter your factory code first). ADDITIONAL FEATURES EARVIEW R CAMERA This system provides a visual display of the area behind the vehicle. The display automatically appears in the touchscreen when the vehicle is in Reverse (R) and uses colors (green, yellow and red) to alert you of your proximity to objects. Note: Visibility aids do not replace the need to watch where the vehicle is moving. Refer to your Owner's Guide for safety information, more detail and limitations. Blind Spot Information System ® (BLIS ® ) with Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) (if equipped) active park assist (if equipped) BLIS® uses radar sensors to help you determine if a vehicle may be in your blind spot zone (extending rearward from the front outside mirrors to approximately 10 ft. beyond the bumper) when driving on roads and freeways. The CTA feature alerts you if a car is coming towards you when you are backing out of a parking space. Refer to your Owner's Guide for more information. everse sensing R system The reverse sensing system may warn you if there is an object behind the vehicle. A warning tone will sound which increases in frequency as the object gets closer and then will sound continuously when the object is less than 10 inches away. The system is active when the vehicle is in Reverse (R) and traveling less than 3 mph (5 km/h). Note: Visibility aids do not replace the need to watch where the vehicle is moving. Refer to your Owner's Guide for safety information, more detail and limitations. The Active Park Assist system can detect an available parallel parking space and automatically steer the vehicle into that space. The system instructs the driver with visual and/or audible instructions with regard to braking, accelerating and shifting gears in order to safely park the vehicle. To initiate Active Park Assist, press the Auto P control on the center console and follow the system instructions as prompted by the message center. Use the turn signal to designate which side of the street to search for a spot. If the turn signal is not on, the system will automatically search the passenger side. To stop the parking procedure, grab the steering wheel or press the control again. Note: Park Assist does not replace the need to watch where the vehicle is moving. All Wheel Drive (AWD) (if equipped) AWD is always active and uses all four wheels to power the vehicle, thereby increasing traction and enabling you to drive over terrain and in road conditions that a conventional two-wheel drive vehicle cannot. Your vehicle is not intended for off-road use. Note: Use only the provided spare tire. Using a different size could cause the AWD system to stop functioning and default to front wheel drive. Your AWD vehicle has special towing instructions. Refer to All Wheel Drive System in the Driving chapter of your Owner's Guide for more information. improved fuel economy while coasting or decelerating Your vehicle has been designed to improve fuel economy by reducing fuel usage while coasting or decelerating. This may be perceived as a light to medium braking sensation when removing your foot from the accelerator pedal. SOS POST-CRASH ALERT TM This system provides audible and visual alarms when a crash causes the deployment of airbags or the activation of the safety belt pretensioners. The turn signals will flash and the horn will sound. To deactivate, press the hazard flasher control, or on your remote transmitter. Press twice within three seconds to open the liftgate. m y key TM Allows you to program certain driving restrictions on any standard key in order to promote good driving habits. When MyKey™ is programmed: • Belt-Minder® cannot be disabled and will sound continuously and the audio will be muted until the safety belt is buckled. • Audible and visual low fuel warnings are provided. • Audio volume can be limited. • Vehicle speed can be limited. • Audible and visual speed warnings can be configured at preselected speeds. • Certain features cannot be turned off such as, Active Park Assist, Blind Spot Information System® (BLIS®) with Cross Traffic Alert and Forward collision warning. • AdvanceTrac® cannot be programmed off. Your vehicle may be equipped with a refrigerator/freezer located in the second row console. To access, flip the console lid forward and then lift off the cover. (Ensure that you replace the cover after you are done as it helps maintain a consistent cooling temperature.) To use the system as a refrigerator: Press the COOL side of the control (A). The indicator light will illuminate when the refrigerator is active. In this mode, the system will cool to approximately 41° F (5° C). Press COOL again to turn off the refrigerator mode or press FREEZE to change to freezer mode. Note: The system will only work when the vehicle's ignition is on. To use the system as a freezer: Press the FREEZE side of the control (A). The indicator light will illuminate when the freezer is active. The system will cool to approximately 23° F (-5° C). Press FREEZE again to turn off the freezer or COOL to switch to refrigerator mode. Car finder: Press twice within three seconds to locate your vehicle. The horn will chirp and the turn lamps will flash. The Intelligent Access key also contains a mechanical key blade which can be used to unlock the driver door if the battery runs low in the transmitter. Simply press the release button on the back of the transmitter and slide the key blade out.
