Rear Window Defroster (If equipped) The defroster for the rear window clears frost, fog, and thin ice from the inside and outside rear window. The button for the rear window defroster is on the instrument panel to the right of the steering column. The button that controls the rear window defroster To defrost the rear window: 1. 2. 3. 4. Clear any snow from the rear window. Get in your vehicle and start the engine. Press the rear window defrost button. The ON indicator will illuminate. When the rear window is clear, push the button again to turn off the defroster. NOTE: Do not use sharp objects to scrape the inside of the rear window or use abrasive cleaners to clean the inside of the rear window surface. You could damage the heating elements, which are bonded to the inside surface of the rear window. 123
