A reading in the low pressure zone may be caused by a dangerously low oil level or other problems causing low oil pressure. Change Engine Oil Light CAUTION: Don't keep driving if the oil pressure is low. If you do, your engine can become so hot that it catches fire. You or others could be burned. Check your oil as soon as possible and have your vehicle serviced. United States Canada This light is displayed when the engine oil needs to be changed. Once the engine oil has been changed, the CHANGE ENG OIL light must be reset. Until it is reset, the light will be displayed when the engine is on. For more information on resetting the system, see "Oil Life System" in the Index. NOTICE: Damage to your engine from neglected oil problems can be costly and is not covered by your warranty. 2-77
