OPERATION Engine Break-in Period 0-90 miles (0-145 kilometers) S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 1/3 throttle. Vary the engine speed of the motorcycle. Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at any one set throttle position. 90-300 miles (145-483 kilometers) S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 1/2 throttle. Vary the engine speed of the motorcycle. Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at any one set throttle position. 300-500 miles (483-800 kilometers) S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 3/4 throttle. At 500 miles (800 kilometers) S Perform initial maintenance as described in the Maintenance section of the Owner's Manual. This maintenance is one of the most important services your motorcycle requires and should be performed by an authorized Victory dealer. Initial maintenance includes servicing all adjustments, tightening all fasteners, and changing engine oil. Performing this maintenance at the required mileage point helps the engine maintain top performance for its entire service life. Caution If engine trouble should occur during the engine break-in period, consult the Maintenance section of the Owner's Manual, the Victory Service Manual, or an authorized Victory dealer immediately. 80
