Bio-Diesel Blended Fuel NOTICE: Never use bio-diesel blended fuel containing more than 5% biodiesel in this vehicle. See page 40. Bio-diesel blended fuel has unique qualities that should be considered before using it in this vehicle: • Cold weather conditions can lead to plugged fuel system components and hard starting. • Bio-diesel blended fuel is an excellent medium for microbial growth and contamination which can cause corrosion and plugging of fuel system components. • Use of bio-diesel blended fuel may result in premature failure of fuel system components, such as plugged fuel filters and deteriorated fuel lines. • Shorter maintenance intervals may be required, such as cleaning the fuel system and replacing fuel filters and fuel lines. • Using bio-diesel blended fuels containing more than five percent (5%) bio-diesel can affect engine life and cause deterioration of hoses, tubes, injectors, injector pump and seals. 44
