FEATURES Engine Overheat Indicators Over-Temperature Indicator (Standard Cluster) The over-temperature indicator on the standard instrument cluster will illuminate when the engine is overheating. Take action to cool the engine. See page 39. The indicator will flash when engine temperature reaches critical levels. Stop the engine immediately. Overheat Warning (IDD) The engine temperature scale at the right side of the IDD screen changes to RED and the check engine temperature indicator at the top left of the screen illuminates when the engine is overheating. Please see your IDD Owner's Manual for more information. 600/800 HO Models Engine Temperature Protection Modes Hot Lamp ON FLASHING Threshold* Lamp illuminates: Idle = 201° F (94° C), WOT = 185° F (85° C) Lamp Flashes, Engine Turns Off: Idle = 215.6° F (102° C), WOT = 201° F (94° C) * Only the minimum (idle) and maximum (WOT) parameters are listed. Flashing Indicator Flashing indicators indicate continued operation could result in serious engine damage. The engine management system will automatically reduce engine power and create a misfire condition. Stop the engine immediately. Allow the engine to cool down. NOTE: If engine overheating seems to be caused by something other than poor cooling conditions, see your dealer for service. 38
