Turn and Lane-Change Signals An arrow on the instrument panel cluster flashes in the direction of the turn or lane change. If the vehicle has a trailer towing option with added wiring for the trailer lamps, a turn signal flasher is used. With this flasher installed, the signal indicator flashes even if a turn signal bulb is burned out. Check the front and rear turn signal lamps regularly to make sure they are working. Turn Signal On Chime A chime sounds if the turn signal has been on 3/4 of a mile (1.2 km). Move the turn signal lever to off. Move the lever all the way up or down to signal a turn. Raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash to signal a lane change. Hold it there until the lane change is complete. The lever returns to its starting position when it is released. If after signaling a turn or lane change the arrows flash rapidly or do not come on, a signal bulb could be burned out. Have the bulbs replaced. If the bulb is not burned out, check the fuse. See Fuses and Circuit Breakers on page 5-107. Headlamp High/Low-Beam Changer To change the headlamps from low to high beam, push the lever toward the instrument panel. To return to low-beam headlamps, pull the multifunction lever toward you. Then release it. When the high beams are on, this indicator light on the instrument panel cluster will also be on. 3-7
