Sometimes a child restraint can be more firmly srcured by pushing it down into the seat cushion and then tightening the seatbelt. If the child restraint system requires a top strap, latch the hook onto the top strap anchor and tighten the top strap. B Installing child restraint systems in the 3-point type seat belt position NOTE When the child restraint system is no longer in use, remove it and restore the ELR function of the retractor. If the shoulder belt goes in front of the child's face or neck, put it behind the child restraint system. 3. Insert the tongue plate into the buckle. 4. Take up the slack in the lap belt. 5. Pull out the seat belt fully from the retractor to change the retractor over from the Emergency Locking Retractor(ELR) to the Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) function.
