PRE-OPERATION CHECKS EAE00000 Owners are personally responsible for their vehicle's condition. Your scooter's vital function can start to deteriorate quickly and unexpectedly, even if it remains unused (for instance, if it exposed to the elements). Any damage, fluid leak or loss of tire pressure could have serious consequences. Therefore, it is very important that, in addition to a thorough visual inspection, you check the following points before each ride. PRE-OPERATION CHECKS ITEM Front brake (disc) Rear brake (drum) Throttle grip and housing CHECKS • Check operation, free play, fluid level and vehicle for fluid leakage. • Top up with DOT #3 or DOT #4 brake fluid if necessary. • Check operation, damage and free play. • Adjust if necessary. • Check for smooth operation. • Adjust / Lubricate if necessary. • Check engine oil level and oil leakage. • Add oil if necessary. • Check vehicle for leakage. • Add oil if necessary. • Check tires pressure, wear and damage. • Check all chassis fittings and fasteners. • Tighten / Adjust if necessary. • Check for proper operation. Correct if necessary. • Check fuel level.
