ESU02372 Adjusting the ski spring preload The spring preload can be adjusted by turning the spring preload adjuster 1. CD-11E Spring seat length* Preload a Length Standard Increased Harder Decreased → Softer Maximum Minimum 125.5 mm 115.5 mm 105.5 mm (4.94 in) (4.55 in) (4.15 in) ∗ The spring seat length changes approximately 1.5 mm (0.06 in) with each full turn of the adjuster. CAUTION: @ The left and right ski spring preload must be set to the same setting. Uneven settings can cause poor handling and loss of stability. @ WARNING @ This shock absorber contains highly pressurized nitrogen gas. It could explode by improper handling, causing injury, or property damage. G Do not tamper with or attempt to open the shock absorber. G Do not subject the shock absorber to an open flame or other high heat source, which could cause it to explode. G Do not deform or damage the shock absorber in any way. G Do not dispose of a worn or damaged shock absorber by yourself. Take the unit to a Yamaha dealer. @ 8-19
