Your Yamaha engine has been designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number ([R+M]/2) of 86 or higher, or research octane number of 91 or higher. If knocking or pinging occurs, use a different brand of gasoline or premium unleaded fuel. Unleaded fuel will give you longer spark plug life and reduced maintenance cost. Gasohol There are two types of gasohol: gasohol containing ethanol and that containing methanol. Gasohol containing ethanol can be used if ethanol content does not exceed 10%. Gasohol containing methanol is not recommended by Yamaha because it may cause fuel system damage or vehicle performance problems. Recommended fuel: Unleaded gasoline only Fuel tank capacity: 30.0 L (6.60 Imp gal, 7.93 US gal) Portable gas containers If you carry a portable gas can in the bed of the Rhino, be sure to secure it with the cap tightened before driving the vehicle. Always place a portable gas container on the ground before filling it. Before removing the container cap, touch the container with the gas dispenser nozzle. Keep gas dispenser nozzle in contact with container inlet when filling. WARNING! Never refill a fuel container in the bed of any vehicle. Fire may result from a build-up of static electricity. The discharge of this build-up while refueling can cause a spark and ignite the gasoline. 5-5
