NOTE: The rear suspension spring preload can be further adjusted by changing the position of the spring seat. Have a Yamaha dealer make this adjustment as it requires special tools. ESU11012 NOTE: The damping forces will not decrease past the minimum levels even if the adjusting knobs are turned out more than the minimum settings. ESU10980 Adjusting the rear suspension spring preload The rear suspension spring preload can be adjusted by turning the spring preload adjusting ring on the shock absorber.
