Control functions If the carburetors or throttle cable malfunctions during operation, the T.O.R.S. will operate when the throttle lever is released. The T.O.R.S. is designed to override the ignition and limit the engine speed to less than the clutch engagement speed if the carburetors fail to return to the idle position when the throttle lever is released.
