PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 4. After installation, make sure that the battery leads are properly connected to the battery terminals. ECA10631 EAU46130 Replacing the fuses The main fuse is located under the ignitor unit panel. The fuse box, which contains the fuses for the individual circuits, is located behind the storage compartment cover. (See page 4-14.) NOTICE G G Always keep the battery charged. Storing a discharged battery can cause permanent battery damage. To charge a VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery, a special (constant-voltage) battery charger is required. Using a conventional battery charger will damage the battery. If you do not have access to a constant-voltage battery charger, have a Yamaha dealer charge your battery. 1. Remove the rider seat. (See page 4-10.) 2. Remove the quick fasteners shown by pushing the center in with a screwdriver, then pulling the fastener out. 1. Quick fastener 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
