If there is free play, have a Yamaha dealer inspect the brake system. EWA14211 The brake lever free play should measure 10 ~ 20 mm (0.39 ~ 0.79 in) as shown. Periodically check the brake lever free play and, if necessary, adjust it as follows. WARNING A soft or spongy feeling in the brake lever can indicate the presence of air in the hydraulic system.
