ABOUT THIS GUIDE This guide provides all the information you need to install and configure the 3Com® 5000 Router. The guide is intended for use by network administrators who are responsible for installing and setting up network equipment; consequently, it assumes a basic working knowledge of LANs (Local Area Networks). Before You Start This section contains information about the documents and CD-ROM that accompany your Router 5000. Release Notes The Release Notes provide important information about the current software release, including new features, modifications, and known problems. You should read the Release Notes before installing the router in your network. If the information in the Release Notes differ from the information in this guide, follow the instructions in the Release Notes.
